La Nubliere camp site is situated on the shores of the famous Lake Annecy at the foot of the French Alps. A fantastic area for a camping holiday, with mountains, water and a wonderfully mild climate. You can walk straight to the beach from the level grounds, unless you prefer to take your towel and lie on one of the lawns. There will be a new toddlers' pool this season. Either way you will have wonderful views of the lake and the enormous mountain peaks.
The camp site will be renovating the toilet facilities in 2011.


You can rent surfboards or sailing boats or go water skiing in the little harbour close by. If that's not exciting enough there is also rafting and parasailing close by. Many flights are made by delta wing and parachute from the slopes on this side of the lake.

Local Area

You must not miss Annecy; a beautiful historic centre with small bridges, flowers on every balcony, quaint shops and excellent restaurants. It's more peaceful in the mountains; wonderful walks, rock climbing or mountain biking! Doussard is located on the south side of Lake Annecy, so the highest peaks in the Alps such as Mont Blanc are only a short distance away in the direction of Ugine, Megève and Bourg Saint Maurice.

Static caravans are fully fitted and offer the most comfortable and luxurious way to camp. Everything is provided!
The interior is typically as follows: Living room with entrance and a dining/sitting area (which can usually be adapted into an additional double bed), Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with two single beds.
Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet (sometimes a separate toilet). Fitted kitchen with a 2 to 4 ring gas hob and fridge. Plenty of storage space for personal possessions. Terrace and/or private garden with garden furniture.

Chalets are available and in general have more space and comfort than 'classic' static caravans plus there is usually more storage space.
The interior is typically as follows: Living room with entrance and a dining/sitting area (which can usually be adapted into an additional double bed), Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with two single beds or bunk beds.

Some camp sites offer bungalows. These differ very little from chalets regarding the interior. It is possible that one or more of the bedrooms will be upstairs, and you should also be aware that not all bungalows are detached.
