A camp site nestling in a valley in the Loire. Camping L’Isle Verte - green island - lives up to its name: it is certainly wonderfully green right by the river making the level terrain seems really natural. There is plenty of room for children to play under the old trees in the middle of the grounds where there is some play equipment and jeu-de-boules. Next to this is a swimming pool and a tennis court. Besides camping in your own tent, caravan or motorhome you can also stay in the equipped Bengali tents or in brand new 4 to 6 berth static caravans.

The tourist office for the small town of Montsoreau is right next to the camp site, convenient for cultural trips out! Montsoreau is a so called ‘Village de Charme’, an unusual title resulting from its picturesque and protected buildings. There is a small white castle on the river with the medieval town behind it. You will be in on of the most beautiful parts of the Loire valley, in the middle of France between Saumur and Tours.

Further afield are the many fairytale chateaux of the Loire. You will run out of time! How about the chateau and interesting museum at Samur? Or the medieval citadel at Chinon? Static caravans are fully fitted and offer the most comfortable and luxurious way to camp. Everything is provided!
The interior is typically as follows: Living room with entrance and a dining/sitting area (which can usually be adapted into an additional double bed), Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with two single beds.
