You will find Les Gros Joncs camp site in the shelter of the dunes and in the woods by the Atlantic coast. The camp site has a unique location: on the island of Île d'Oléron which is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Fort Boyard is right across from the island in the middle of the sea. You can be sure of a relaxing holiday in the middle of countryside full of flowers at this camp site in France. But there are still plenty of things to do. You are only 600 metres from a lovely sandy beach and you can go surfing, sailing, canoeing/kayaking and fishing in the vicinity.

And you certainly won't get bored on the camp site itself. Regular activities are organised. There is a large swimming pool. For total relaxation you can treat yourself at the beauty specialist. Delicious meals are served in the restaurant and you can get fresh bread every day from the baker.

Close by you can visit a local heritage site with wineries or oyster farms, the fish sluices, the "Royer" fort in Boyardville or the shipping museum. A visit to the authentic harbour towns of Royan and La Rochelle is well worth the effort.

Static caravans are fully fitted and offer the most comfortable and luxurious way to camp. Everything is provided!

Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet (sometimes a separate toilet). Fitted kitchen with a 2 to 4 ring gas hob and fridge. Plenty of storage space for personal possessions. Terrace and/or private garden with garden furniture.

The available chalets have more space and comfort than 'classic' static caravans and there is usually more storage space.
