Les Vikings is a family camp site in Normandy, in Basse Normandie to be precise, the region around the harbour town of Cherbourg. At this camp site in France you will be camping just 400m from the sea. The beach in this part of the west coast of France is made up of powdery sand. If you prefer, there is always the swimming pool with its terrace and deckchairs at the camp site itself. There is a brand new indoor pool with a toddlers' pool, balneo bath, geyser and slides. This pool flows out into the outdoor pool.
The level grounds are well looked after, and excellent meals are served in the restaurant and on the terrace. Les Vikingsalso also looks after your children's needs. There is a games room, playground and sports field as an alternative to fun in the water.

Local Area
You are in an area that is not just interesting for its nature, Normandy has a chequered history. The D-Day troops landed in this area in June 1944 and there are many interesting museums devoted to this. If you want you can even take the ferry from here to Jersey, which is much closer to France than to England. A tourist train will take you to Barneville, but the best way to discover the Normandy landscape is by bike on the cobblestones. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside or cycle to the castles of Bricquebec and La Haye-du-Puits.

The interior is typically as follows: Living room with entrance and a dining/sitting area (which can usually be adapted into an additional double bed), Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with two single beds.
Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet (sometimes a separate toilet). Fitted kitchen with a 2 to 4 ring gas hob and fridge. Plenty of storage space for personal possessions. Terrace and/or private garden with garden furniture.
