With its idyllic rural setting, Houlgate is a treat for the eyes, and combines peace and quiet with excellent facilities.

One of the premier parcs in Normandy, La Vallee enjoys a glorious rural setting not far from a sandy beach and the seaside town of Houlgate.

This parc is scattered with flowering hedges and fruit trees, with some of the excellent facilities housed in a beautifully converted Norman building and a wealth of activities to keep children occupied.

There's superb pools, one of which has a retractable roof, waterslide, well-equipped play area, and even an Ďanimateur' who arranges a wide variety of activities for the whole family, including discos in the games room and Karaoke nights.

    From Caen Cabourg:
On the Caen peripherique (ring road), follow signs for the A13 signposted Paris Deauville and Trouville.

Take exit 29 off the A13 signposted Houlgate/Dives/Cabourg.

At the roundabout go straight on and follow the road as it bears right.

After approximately 2 miles, you will approach a roundabout: with a McDonalds on the corner.

Go straight-ahead passing a 'Super U' supermarket on your left and an 'Intermarche' on your right.

Follow this road through four sets of traffic lights.

You then enter a one way system.

Where the road forks, bear left, stay in the right hand lane and bear right, following the coast line with the ocean on your left for approximately 1 mile.

At the next set of traffic lights, turn right.

Follow this road for another 1 mile, going straight across the mini roundabout.

You will come to the campsite on your right immediately before the level crossing.

Look out for the large flag poles and flags along the front of the campsite.
