There are some great beaches to seek out nearby - about 7.5km of the Cannes coastline is beach and all of Cannes beaches (except those on the Iles de Lerins) are sandy (the sand is actually replenished each year in mid-May). There are 13 public beaches in Cannes as well as two muncipal beaches. For a change of scene, catch the ferry across to the islands, or head along the coast to one of the many chic resorts and towns.
